The Square Retractable Pergola is GardenZone's flagship model — a wall-mounted or freestanding aluminium structure with a fully retractable, motorised fabric roof, built to withstand wind and rain (resistance class 3) in the Irish climate. Available in widths up to 9.0m and projections up to 7.0m, with spans of up to 6.0m possible without a central support pole, it suits everything from a compact patio to a large family garden. Choose from LED spot lighting, ZIP-78 screens or a sliding/fixed glass enclosure, along with a range of frame colours and acrylic fabrics to match your outdoor space.

Square retractable pergola with a motorised roof
The Square is our most popular retractable pergola: an aluminium frame with a waterproof PVC-coated fabric roof that runs out and back on an electric motor. It spans up to 9 m wide and 7 m projection, with no middle post up to 6 m wide, and is rated Class 3 for wind and rain. A front gutter, side gaskets and a protective hood come as standard.
Wall-mounted, free-standing, flat or double roof
Square Wall fixes to the house on two front posts; Square Free stands on four posts anywhere in the garden; Square Flat suits low walls and bungalows; and Square Duo carries two fabric roofs on one frame for large terraces, restaurants and hotels.
Options for every season
Add ZIP side screens, sliding glass walls, spot LED lighting, infrared heaters and rain and wind sensors. Choose your fabric colour and any RAL frame colour, with anthracite as standard.
