Motorised Awning with a Somfy Motor in Dublin

This Dublin home has a deck right outside large patio doors – great in the sun, but too hot and bright in summer. We fitted a retractable awning across the back of the house, so the family can open shade whenever they need it.

What we installed

• Full cassette awning – the fabric rolls away into a closed case, protected from the weather

• Somfy motor with remote control

• Grey striped fabric to match the dark window frames

• Wall-mounted across the full width of the patio doors

Why choose a motorised awning

• Shade for the deck and the room behind the glass

• Opens and closes in seconds with the remote

• The cassette keeps the fabric clean and dry when closed
